Private senior care is usually from minimum wage to $20 to $50 per hour. At minimum wage, care would cost 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, that is almost $60000. Some financial advisors are showing the reverse mortgage to be on be standby “with its growing line of credit. This is where the money not used starts to grow in the line of credit, it can double or triple if not used for 10 or 20 years.

I find too many people wait until the need for extra money or beyond where the children are paying out of their pockets. At this point they use a power of attorney to get the Reverse Mortgage, by then the money cant grow and the funds have to start being used immediately.
