Hoover, I have to say #1 because they had a TV show in 2007 about the football program. Hoover has been ranked #1 in the Birmingham area and a top 25 program nationally, frequently winning state titles in football, basketball, and track.
I’m partial to Vestavia because I went there. The Vestavia Hills High School baseball program is one of the most successful in Alabama high school history, with a legacy built primarily under legendary head coach Sammy Dunn. The Rebels have won 10 AHSAA State Baseball Championships (1991, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2023).
Vestavia is ranked as one of the top 5 athletic programs in the country, with strong performances in soccer, tennis, golf, and bowling.
Mountain Brook High School: Recognized as a top program in the state, dominating in cross-country tennis, and volleyball.
