Hoover has been ranked #1 in the Birmingham area and a top 25 program nationally, frequently winning state titles in football, basketball, and track.
I’m partial to Vestavia because I went there. The Vestavia Hills High School baseball program is one of the most successful in Alabama high school history, with a legacy built primarily under legendary head coach Sammy Dunn. The Rebels have won 10 AHSAA State Baseball Championships (1991, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2023).
